A little Disney magic found its way to Music City.<\/p>\n Country stars gathered at the Grand Ole Opry<\/a> on April 2 to celebrate the release of Disney’s Main Street Country EP. The five-song project features Kane Brown and Katelyn Brown on “Beauty and the Beast,” Maddie & Tae on “You’ll Be in My Heart,” Restless Road<\/a> on “The Climb,” BRELAND on “Go the Distance” and Dasha on “She’s So Gone.”<\/p>\n The event featured performances and behind-the-scenes insights from each track, with artists sharing the personal stories that shaped their reimagined takes on Disney classics.<\/p>\n “My favorite part was watching her light up, getting to sing the song, because she loves it so much,” Kane Brown<\/a> said of recording with his wife. The husband-and-wife duo’s take on “Beauty and the Beast” leans into that dynamic, turning a classic love song into something that reflects their own story as a couple.<\/p>\n “I loved mapping out the song, how we wanted it to sound, learning our harmonies, you know, just kind of singing it, bringing out each other,” Katelyn Brown said.<\/p>\n That personal connection carries throughout the project, particularly for Maddie & Tae<\/a>, whose rendition came during a major life transition.<\/p>\n “Getting to be a part of Disney’s legacy, I don’t think it’s something that any of us could have ever dreamed of,” Tae Dye said. “And so to get this opportunity is so exciting.”<\/p>\n After 15 years together, the duo recently announced they are stepping away from the band. It’s not a breakup, but an open-ended pause to focus on family. That timing gave “You’ll Be in My Heart” a deeper meaning.<\/p>\n “It kind of relates to so many different areas of our lives,” Marlow said. “It makes me sad,\u00a0but like\u00a0a happy\u00a0sad. Happy and sad at the same time in a weird way.”<\/p>\n For Restless Road, reimagining “The Climb,” originally performed by Miley Cyrus<\/a>, meant walking a line between honoring the original and making it their own.<\/p>\n “I think the most fun part was just getting to reimagine a song that you love so much and putting your own spin on it,” Garrett Nichols said.<\/p>\n The release arrives as Hannah Montana<\/a> celebrates its 20th anniversary, bringing a little added pressure to reinterpret a fan-favorite track.<\/p>\n “It’s such an iconic song and it’s so special to so many people,” Colton Pack said. “At the end of the day, we’re creatives and you do the best that you can and you put your own spin on it.”<\/p>\n BRELAND<\/a> leaned into the message of perseverance in “Go the Distance” from Hercules, reflecting his own journey.<\/p>\n “I feel like those are pillars of my rise and also where I am in my career right now,” he said.<\/p>\n Dasha<\/a> took on “She’s So Gone,” from the Disney Channel original movie “Lemonade Mouth.” The country pop artist approached it from a different angle, blending her country sensibilities with the song’s original rock energy.<\/p>\n “It was fun trying to find ways to make such an angsty kind of rock song feel more country,” she said. “It feels still pretty angsty rock, but, you know, there’s a banjo in there.”<\/p>\n Disney’s Main Street Country EP is available now on major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music.<\/p>\n Bryan West is a music reporter at The Tennessean, part of the USA TODAY Network.
