{"id":2363037,"date":"2026-04-07T19:50:06","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T19:50:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/?p=2363037"},"modified":"2026-04-07T19:50:06","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T19:50:06","slug":"kfc-takes-a-new-step-with-its-marketing-an-entire-music-track","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/celebrity.land\/en\/kfc-takes-a-new-step-with-its-marketing-an-entire-music-track\/","title":{"rendered":"KFC takes a new step with its marketing: An entire music track"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/p>\n<div id=\"\"><\/p>\n<p>Colonel Sanders dances on a board table in &#8220;Finger Lickin Machine.&#8221; | Photo courtesy of KFC.<\/p>\n<p>Dancing Colonel Sanders is coming to KFC\u2019s advertising.<\/p>\n<p>The fast-food chicken chain this week debuted \u201cFinger Lickin\u2019 Machine,\u201d a full-fledged single rolling across social feeds and streaming platforms like Spotify.<\/p>\n<p>The track on the surface is selling the company\u2019s Value Feast menu, which includes boxes priced at $7, $9 and $11 and including combinations of KFC Snackers or sandwiches, nuggets or tenders, fries and a drink.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a 90-second cut that plays like a music video, Sanders sits at the head of a boardroom as dark-suited board members question his pricing decisions. \u201cWho do you think you are?\u201d one asks.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders takes his feet off the table, declares, \u201cI\u2019m a Finger Lickin\u2019 Machine,\u201d jumps on the table as the track begins to play. He dances across the table and then out into the street, at one point shoving a chicken sandwich into the mouth of a skeptical board member.\u00a0<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"KFC | Finger Lickin\u2019 Machine :90\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/a_jTgglkgJ8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The creative agency behind the ad is Highdive and the music was done by Ryan Grieve for Hole in the Sky Music, with Rich Fiset and produced by Zachary Pollakoff at the music house Heavy Duty. The choreography for the dancing Sanders was done by the creative team Rich + Tone Talauega.<\/p>\n<p>For KFC, the ad taps into the chain\u2019s longtime success of using Sanders as the focal point of its advertising.<\/p>\n<p>The chain has been working to overcome a string of sales declines in its U.S. market. System sales last year declined 4.6%, largely on a 4% decline in unit count, according to data from Restaurant Business sister company Technomic.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>KFC, which recently moved its headquarters from Louisville, Kentucky, to Plano, Texas, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.restaurantbusinessonline.com\/financing\/kfc-launches-comeback-free-fried-chicken\">last year launched a \u201cKentucky Fried Comeback<\/a>&#8221; under U.S. brand president Catherine Tan-Gillespie.<\/p>\n<p>The chain last week <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nrn.com\/quick-service\/kfc-launches-box-feasts-lineup-in-latest-value-play\">launched its Box Feasts lineup<\/a> as its latest foray into the discount wars, believing that bundled meals can lure customers that have been cutting back on dining.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><em>Members help make our journalism possible.
