ID is required for entry.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ultranewzealand.com\/\" class=\"btn\">Visit ULTRA New Zealand website<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>For the first time ever, ULTRA New Zealand is coming to Wellington \u2013 bringing one of the world\u2019s most iconic electronic dance music festivals to the capital.<\/p>\n<p>The inaugural New Zealand edition will be held exclusively on the Wellington Waterfront on Friday 10 April 2026, transforming the harbour edge into a multi-stage, open-air celebration of international electronic music talent.<\/p>\n<p>The globally recognised Ultra Worldwide brand spans more than 30 countries across six continents and is famed for its large-scale productions, world-class DJs, and immersive festival experiences.<\/p>\n<p>This is a major milestone for Wellington, bringing thousands of visitors into the city and enhancing the capital\u2019s reputation as a premier destination for entertainment and live events.<\/p>\n<h3>What to expect<\/h3>\n<p>ULTRA New Zealand will feature:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Four massive stages, including three world-class international stages and one dedicated to New Zealand drum &amp; bass artists.<\/li>\n<li>More than 30 international and local performers, with headliners including The Chainsmokers, DJ Snake, Zedd, Darren Styles, Oliver Heldens, Miss Monique, MaRLo, and Pendulum (DJ Set).<\/li>\n<li>A one-day festival experience running from 3pm to midnight around the Wellington Waterfront.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The festival is expected to attract 23,000 attendees, including visitors from across New Zealand and overseas.<\/p>\n<p>It is forecast to provide a significant boost to Wellington\u2019s hospitality, retail, accommodation, and tourism sectors. The multi-year agreement signals long-term investment in Wellington as a home for major international events.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Wellington now joins major cities such as Miami, Tokyo, and Sydney as a host of this internationally renowned festival.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"closures\">Road closures and access<\/h2>\n<p>Some restricted access starts from Sunday 29 March around the event site. <\/p>\n<p>From 7pm, Thursday 9 April to 6pm, Saturday 11 April, there will be a partial temporary closure of the Wellington Waterfront between Waitangi Park and Odlins Plaza, including Te Papa Promenade and part of Taranaki Street Wharf. There will be clear diversions in place for pedestrians and cyclist.<\/p>\n<p>All businesses on the Wellington Waterfront remain open for business.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key access information:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Temporary lane closures and restricted vehicle access will be in place around the Te Papa \/ Taranaki Street \/ Cable Street \/ Herd Street \/ Jervois Quay area from 2pm, Friday 10 April to 2am, Saturday 11 April.<\/li>\n<li>Pedestrian and cycle routes will change, with some traffic redirected via Tory Street during peak periods \u2013 please dismount where required, and follow diversions as directed.<\/li>\n<li>Barnett Street car park will be closed from 3.30pm, Sunday 5 April to 5pm, Monday 13 April. <\/li>\n<li>Clyde Quay car park on Herd Street will be closed from Monday 6 April to Sunday 12 April.
