Olivia Munn<\/a> is opening up about a difficult experience she had on set with an unnamed male costar.<\/p>\n The Your Friends & Neighbors<\/em> star revealed that she once worked with an individual who halted production for 45 minutes after he realized that her character saved his life in the scene that they were filming.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThere have been a few times where I\u2019ve been filming something \u2014 and my character was either like CIA, or a cop, or something\u00a0\u2014\u00a0and there\u2019s been scenes where my character has been the one to save the other character,\u201d Munn explained on Wednesday\u2019s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n Olivia Munn on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’Credit: The Drew Barrymore Show<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n The X-Men: Apocalypse<\/em> actress explained that the set-up for the scene was that the pair were engaged in a firefight in an underground bunker.<\/p>\n \u201cIf you read the script, it was that he was guarding his side, I was guarding my side, then we switch sides and then there\u2019s a guy that was coming for him \u2014 was gonna shoot him in the back \u2014 so I shoot him,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd then we\u2019re about to shoot and, somehow, I guess he didn\u2019t read the script and in that moment, he realized, \u2018Wait, wait, wait. Hold on. She can\u2019t save me. No, no. She can\u2019t save me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The man\u2019s outburst caused the entire production to reach a standstill. Looking back on his behavior, she added, \u201cThere was no insecurity about being obnoxious and everyone hearing this and being like, \u2018She can\u2019t save me! We\u2019re not doing this!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Drew Barrymore and Olivia Munn on ‘The Drew Barrymore Show’Credit: The Drew Barrymore Show<\/p>\n<\/figcaption><\/div>\n<\/figure>\n Munn also noted that the man was \u201ccombative with the director\u201d over the scene as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n So, she stepped in to fix the situation. \u201cFinally, after like 45 minutes of just stopping down, I said, \u2018Okay, how about instead of my character saving you, it\u2019s just is that we switch because it\u2019s time for us to switch and so this is my guy to get,\u2019\u201d she recalled. \u201cAnd he was like, \u2018Okay.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Turning to the audience, she continued, \u201cNow here\u2019s the interesting thing: nothing changed. It\u2019s just what he thought. Last July, she claimed that an unnamed <\/a>Newsroom<\/em><\/a> director tried to \u201cruin\u201d her career<\/a> by calling up her next project and telling them she was \u201clate all the time\u201d and \u201ccombative\u201d on set.\u00a0<\/p>\n “I lived seven minutes from there. I was never late,” Munn explained on the Armchair Expert With Dax Shepard<\/em><\/a>\u00a0podcast at the time. “And I was like, ‘I know who this is.’ He just was trying to bash me.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n She continued, \u201cAnd I told my reps, ‘Please tell the directors this.’ And then I still got the role. But I will always remember that, just because of our conflicts of how we approached a role, he wanted to ruin my chances of getting anything else.”<\/p>\n<\/div>
