She drove luxury cars, including a rented Range Rover she later swapped for a BMW, and spent thousands per month on her North Hollywood home, which was the hub of her operation. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module aligncenter wp-block-nypost-editor-primary-tag\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>When not in Los Angeles, Sangha was jet-setting to destinations such as Mexico, Spain, Italy, Greece, Japan, France, Dubai, and Antigua.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">Instagram\/@jasveen_s<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Even in the days leading up to her arrest, there were few signs of restraint. According to court filings, Sangha was still living large \u2014 visiting salons, getting her nails done, shopping, and attending Hollywood parties.<\/p>\n<p>Her appetite for luxury appeared to be long-standing, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.thetimes.com\/uk\/crime\/article\/how-matthew-perrys-drug-death-destroyed-jasveen-sanghas-gilded-life-trgb76cmq\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to The Times<\/a>. Sangha was raised in privilege, doted on by her multimillionaire grandparents in a large Essex home, with expectations of a top-tier education and a comfortable future.<\/p>\n<p>After moving to the US with her mother in 1987, she attended Calabasas High School \u2014 an affluent enclave known for celebrity residents \u2014 and later enrolled at the University of California, Irvine to study social sciences.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>Sangha was jet-setting to destinations such as Mexico, Spain, Italy, Greece, Japan, France, Dubai, and Antigua. <span class=\"credit\">Facebook\/Jasveen Sangha<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>But somewhere along the way, that trajectory shifted.<\/p>\n<p>Sangha moved in celebrity circles, reportedly associating with Charlie Sheen, DJ Khaled, and Perla Hudson \u2014 the former wife of Guns N\u2019 Roses guitarist Slash.<\/p>\n<p>A friend who <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/08\/16\/us-news\/ketamine-queen-jasveen-sangha-acted-like-matthew-perrys-death-was-no-big-deal-friends-say\/\">spoke to the celebrity.land<\/a> revealed Sangha hosted drug-fueled parties at her North Hollywood apartment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve never been to a party at Jasveen\u2019s where drugs were out of the ordinary. She had access to drugs. She could get liquid ketamine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Court documents state the apartment was used to store, package, and distribute drugs, including ketamine and methamphetamine, as far back as June 2019.<\/p>\n<p>A stint in rehab \u2014 reportedly at the same time as Perry, according to TMZ \u2014 did little to curb her lifestyle.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> <span class=\"credit\">FilmMagic<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to her plea agreement, Sangha worked with Erik Fleming, a former Hollywood producer and director, to sell ketamine to Perry.<\/p>\n<p>In October 2023, Sangha and Fleming sold Perry 51 vials of ketamine, which were provided to Kenneth Iwamasa \u2014 Perry\u2019s live-in personal assistant.<\/p>\n<p>Iwamasa gave the actor several ketamine injections, leading to Perry\u2019s death.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"nyp-slideshow-modal-image wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><figcaption>An evidence bag containing 385 grams of meth, including orange pills and powder, found at Jasveen Sangha\u2019s apartment. <span class=\"credit\">BACKGRID<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Even after the actor\u2019s death, prosecutors say Sangha\u2019s lavish habits didn\u2019t stop. Less than two weeks later, she was back on social media, posting photos from a luxury trip to Japan.<\/p>\n<p>But by March, authorities searched her apartment, uncovering a cache of drugs: 79 vials of liquid ketamine, more than 1,700 grams of methamphetamine pills, MDMA, counterfeit Xanax, and bags of ketamine and cocaine. <\/p>\n<p>She was arrested and later released on a $100,000 bond secured by her mother.<\/p>\n<p>While out on bail, she continued to project the same polished image \u2014 posting a photo seated between her mother and grandmother with the caption, \u201cOften imitated\u2026never duplicated.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Perry \u2014 best known for playing Chandler Bing on Friends \u2014 was found dead in a hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Oct. 28, 2023.
