Madonna<\/a> is unfortunately no stranger to ageist comments<\/a>, having received them for years. However, today she has a new superstar defending her.<\/p>\n In a video posted to TikTok<\/a> on Wednesday (April 8), Doja Cat <\/a>spoke up for Madonna<\/a> against people who say that the pop legend is \u201ctoo old\u201d to be onstage. In the nearly two-minute-long, selfie-style clip, Doja expresses being \u201ctickled and bothered\u201d by commenters who tell Madonna \u201cto stop\u201d in response to TikToks of the singer performing.<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s interesting to me because, it\u2019s like, you\u2019re telling a musician who makes music, who performs it as a job, to stop doing it?\u201d the rapper says. \u201cI\u2019m trying to wrap my head around that.\u201d<\/p>\n Doja then begins to question if these hate comments against Madonna are because the \u201cVogue\u201d singer is \u201can older woman who feels sexy.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIs that why you want her to get off stage? Because you feel threatened by an older woman who can do her job forever?\u201d Doja asks before saying that Madonna has something she loves doing that other people are paying to see and also enjoy with the singer. Doja then mocks the haters saying that maybe they don\u2019t like Madonna performing because they have \u201csomething personal happening in there\u201d and that \u201cnobody else knows it and only you do.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIs that why you\u2019re upset? Aww,\u201d she jests before breaking out into laughter. \u201cI\u2019m sorry, it\u2019s not funny.\u201d<\/p>\n Doja then begins wiping away fake tears while commenting that \u201cit is sad\u201d and saying she\u2019ll cry alongside them.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m so sorry,\u201d she faux cries out, ending the video.<\/p>\n Most recently, Madonna hit the stage for an intimate performance<\/a> at a Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Milan last month. Previously, the legend concluded her record-breaking Celebration Tour where she performed at sold-out venues and arenas across Europe and the Americas before concluding with a free show on Rio De Janeiro\u2019s Copacabana Beach for over 1.6 million attendees.<\/p>\n Doja\u2019s most recent performance was at the Global Citizen Move Afrika festival in South Africa in March, after months of touring in support of her Billboard 200 No. 4 album Vie.
