Despite being a high-profile couple, Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen<\/a>, who just welcomed their baby girl<\/a> to the world, still have ground rules that most discuss.<\/p>\n Speaking to Architectural Digest during an interview conducted \u201cin the weeks\u201d before their baby’s birth, Steinfeld was asked if she and Allen watch TV while eating<\/a>, later noting that she also doesn’t fall asleep with it on.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it’s a mixture of both,\u201d Steinfeld revealed. \u201cThe preference is not in front of the TV. I value a meal away from technology, and even if it\u2019s just the two of us\u2014[or] if it\u2019s us with friends, with family\u2014that time is so limited with the opportunity to have uninterrupted conversation over a great meal.\u201d<\/p>\n She was asked a follow-up question about having pets on furniture. If she’s speaking \u201cemotionally, Steinfeld says \u201cno\u201d to her pets. However, she considers pets part of her \u201cfamily,\u201d so that \u201crule gets bent.\u201d<\/p>\n Granted, it helps that Steinfeld’s dogs are \u201cso little.\u201d Whenever she sits on the couch, they’re immediately on her feet. She called it \u201calmost impossible to resist their cuteness, and I end up picking them up.\u201d<\/p>\n However, she does try to make sure they’re \u201cfreshly bathed and on a blanket\u201d when they sit on the couch.<\/p>\n On Thursday, Apr. 2, 2026, Steinfeld and Allen announced the birth of their baby girl.
