The Royal Family will mark a very special anniversary and King
\nCharles has given his sister, Princess Anne, a central role in

The royals will gather on April 20th and 21st to mark the
\ncentenary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n
And while King Charles will take on a special role at one event,
\nhe\u2019s putting his sister in charge of one of the most moving events

On the morning of the 100th anniversary, the Princess Royal will
\nofficially open the new memorial garden to Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n
It\u2019s located in Regent\u2019s Park and it is set to be a place of
\ntranquillity and reflection in the heart of London. As a young
\nprincess, Elizabeth spent many hours playing in London\u2019s parks and
\nthe memorial to here there is among the most poignant.<\/p>\n
Ahead of the anniversary itself, King Charles and Queen Camilla
\nwill visit the brand new exhibition about the life and legacy of
\nQueen Elizabeth II, now open in central London.<\/p>\n
Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style is at The King\u2019s Gallery,
\nnear Buckingham Palace and tells the story of the longest reigning
\nMonarch in British history through her image. Among the items on
\nshow are her wedding dress, her Coronation dress and the stunning
\nruby and aquamarine tiaras that she had designed during her
\nreign.<\/p>\n
The Royal Family will gather on the morning of the anniversary
\nto see the latest plans for the national memorial that is being
\ncreated to mark the life and reign of Queen Elizabeth II. Designer,
\nLord Norman Foster, will talk to the royals about the development
\nof the work which will include art created by a variety of
\nexperts.<\/p>\n
Later, the Royal Family will join King Charles and Queen Camilla
\nat Buckingham Palace for a reception marking the centenary of Queen
\nElizabeth\u2019s birth. Also there will be some of those celebrating
\ntheir own 100th birthdays this year and King Charles will
\npersonally present them with the royal card sent to all who reach
\nthat milestone.<\/p>\n
