Meghan Markle<\/a> has reportedly set her sights on a new house move \u201ccloser to Hollywood,\u201d nearly six years after buying her lavish mansion in California. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into their dream mansion<\/a> shortly after quitting the Royal Family and moving to the US in 2020. They reportedly bought it for \u00a312million.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan’s Montecito luxury abode<\/a> spans 5 acres and features nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a pool and a tennis court, extensive gardens, and its own chicken coop, which the couple have named Archie\u2019s Chick Inn. It also features a five-car garage, a guesthouse, a spa, a wine cellar, a gym, a library and a tea house, among other luxury amenities.<\/p>\n

But new reports now claim the Duchess is ready to start looking for a new home, closer to Hollywood<\/a>, to \u201cmake life easier\u201d as she thinks about the family\u2019s next chapter.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A source told Heatworld<\/a>: \u201cMeghan\u2019s decided that being closer to Los Angeles will make life easier. She\u2019s sick of having to lose four hours of her day in the car when she has meetings or appointments and the fact that their neighbours continue to trash-talk them doesn\u2019t exactly make her feel welcome.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut more than that, she says they\u2019re too cut off from the social scene in Hollywood, she wants to be much more tapped in because that\u2019s when the deals really happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

The source explained that the Duchess would be partial to a second place in \u201cBrentwood or Bel Air\u201d to be close to many of her celebrity friends; however, the couple\u2019s finances wouldn\u2019t be able to support two households.<\/p>\n

They added: \u201cIt\u2019s not that she doesn\u2019t love their home in Montecito, the grounds are stunning and she\u2019s put a lot of work into decorating it to her taste, but she says it\u2019s just way too removed for what she wants to accomplish.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\u201cShe hates feeling like she\u2019s always on the outside of things and that\u2019s just the reality of living so far removed from the action. It\u2019s left Meghan feeling much more cut off than she expected and she\u2019s ready to change things up.\u201d<\/p>\n

It comes as the Sussex couple prepare for their next big trip of the year.<\/p>\n

Harry and Meghan are heading to Australia next week to attend a number of \u201cprivate, business and philanthropic engagements\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
