Among the big announcements in the entertainment world this week, was the addition of a dozen U.S. dates on Shakria\u2019s \u201cLas Mujeres Ya No Lloran\u201d<\/a> world tour.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n That\u2019s worth note because:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Shakira\u2019s California dates for 2026 include stops in Inglewood, Palm Desert and San Jose. Not Fresno. But that\u2019s only because we go the full-stadium experience last August.<\/a><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Related: There\u2019s been no indication Fresno State has any additional concerts in the works, though the university is conducting market and feasibility studies<\/a> on Valley Children\u2019s Stadium, part of which will no doubt include its further use as a live music venue.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n That said, there\u2019s no shortage of entertainment stopping through the Central Valley in 2026 as local venues continue to book out their calendars for this summer and beyond.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In late March, Broadway in Fresno<\/b> announced its upcoming season. The touring theater series brings four shows, all musicals, to the Saroyan Theater for 2026-27. They include: \u201cWater for Elephants\u201d (Nov. 3-4), \u201cJersey Boys\u201d (Feb. 2-4), \u201cThe Bodyguard\u201d (March 15-16) and \u201cA Beautiful Noise: the Neil Diamond Musical\u201d (June 8-19, 2027).
