Well, this is f–king perfect<\/a>. Tony Award Productions announced on Thursday that Pink will host the 79th Annual Tony Awards<\/a>, scheduled for June 7 in New York City. <\/p>\n

\u201cIt is the honor of an entire lifetime to host a night celebrating the literal hardest working people in showbiz,\u201d the Grammy-winning artist said in a statement provided to Gold Derby. \u201cBroadway<\/a> has shaped my life and how I put my own shows together \u2014\u00a0it is a community that is supportive, and inclusive, and full of talent and love. These people give magic every single day, and I cannot wait to celebrate them with the entire world.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here’s the complete calendar of events released by the Tony Awards on March 11. <\/p>\n

April 26:<\/strong> The Tony Awards eligibility cut-off date for the 2025-2026 season for all Broadway productions which meet all other eligibility requirements.\u00a0<\/p>\n

May 5:<\/strong> Nominations for the 2026 Tony Awards will be announced.<\/p>\n

May 14<\/strong>: The annual “Meet the Nominees” press event will take place at Sofitel New York.<\/p>\n

May 18: <\/strong>The first-ever Tony Awards Nominee Cocktail Party will be held by New York<\/em> magazine honoring the nominees and gathering Broadway talent.<\/p>\n

How can I watch the Tonys?<\/h3>\n

The Tony Awards will broadcast live to both coasts on CBS<\/a>. The ceremony will also be streamed live on Paramount+ for all Paramount+ premium subscribers. The broadcast airs at 8 p.m. ET\/5 p.m. PT.<\/p>\n

Who is eligible for the Tonys?<\/h3>\n

The eligibility cut-off date for the 2025-26 season is April 26. This means that a Broadway production must officially open by that date in order to compete for this year\u2019s Tony Awards. The Tony Awards Administration has already released Round 1<\/a> and Round 2<\/a> of eligibility determinations. Two additional sets of decisions are expected before the end of the season.<\/p>\n

This season we expect a total of 30 productions to be eligible for the awards. This includes new musicals Beaches<\/em>, The Lost Boys<\/em>, The Queen of Versailles<\/em>, Schmigadoon!<\/em>, Titanique<\/em>, and Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York)<\/em>; new plays The Balusters<\/em>, Call Me Izzy<\/em>, Dog Day Afternoon<\/em>, The Fear of 13<\/em>, Giant<\/em>, Liberation<\/em>, Little Bear Ridge Road<\/em>, and Punch<\/em>; musical revivals Cats: The Jellicle Ball<\/em>, Chess<\/em>, Mamma Mia<\/em>, Ragtime<\/em>, and The Rocky Horror Show<\/em>; and play revivals Art<\/em>, Becky Shaw<\/em>, Bug<\/em>, Death of a Salesman<\/em>, Fallen Angels<\/em>, Every Brilliant Thing<\/em>, Joe Turner\u2019s Come and Gone<\/em>, Marjorie Prime<\/em>, Oedipus<\/em>, Proof<\/em>, and Waiting for Godot<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Who votes on the Tony Awards?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Tony Awards nominating committee, composed of 64 members across various artistic disciplines, votes on the nominees. Members of this committee serve three year terms and commit to seeing every eligible production in a given Broadway season. If a member is not able to attend every eligible show, or becomes involved in a production that is competing for this year’s awards, they must recuse themselves of their voting duties.<\/p>\n

After nominations are announced, all Tony Awards voters are able to cast a ballot to determine the winners. There are over 800 Tony voters, which include members of The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, along with members of the governing boards of Actors’ Equity Association; the Dramatists Guild; SDC, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society; United Scenic Artists; the Association of Theatrical Press Agents and Managers, and members of the New York Drama Critics Circle.<\/p>\n
