The 32-year-old pop star took the stage Saturday, April 11, in a laid-back hoodie and shorts<\/a>, opting for an approach that didn\u2019t quite match the massive expectations surrounding his return.<\/p>\n

Instead of a set packed with some of his biggest hits, Bieber played a few songs from his 2025 album Swag II<\/em> before switching to some of his classics.<\/p>\n

\u201cTonight is such a special night,\u201d the \u201cSorry\u201d singer said while sitting himself on a stool behind a table and opening up a laptop. \u201cI feel like we gotta take you guys on a bit of a journey. Do you guys remember this song?\u201d<\/p>\n

He then played the hit song \u201cBaby\u201d on YouTube as the crowd erupted into cheers and sang along.<\/p>\n

Bieber also filled the screen behind him with viral clips, mixing memes with moments from his own past, including his 2025 clash with paparazzi when he said, \u201cIt\u2019s not clocking to you that I\u2019m standing on business.\u201d<\/p>\n

The \u201cDaisies\u201d artist was quickly hit with backlash from online critics who thought the performance seemed lazy, considering he was reportedly paid $10 million for his time, according to Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n
