Eric Roberts is shutting down speculation that he and his daughter Emma Roberts have a \u201ccomplicated\u201d relationship.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s only complicated through outside eyes, because they don\u2019t get any of it,\u201d he revealed during the April 1 episode of Really Famous with Kara Mayer Robinson.<\/em> \u201cSo they have their own take\u2026 but it\u2019s not a real relationship with the subjects.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Eric, who is the brother of actress Julia Roberts, he and Emma are in a much better place today. Furthermore, the Pope of Greenwich Village<\/em> star says he was still healing from old wounds regarding his personal relationship with his own dad.<\/p>\n While Eric admits his dynamic with Emma isn\u2019t picture-perfect, he is endlessly proud of all her achievements as an actress. \u201cI\u2019m so proud of my kid,\u201d he told Mayer Robinson. \u201cYou know, she didn\u2019t start off as a great actor, but she became a great actor. Fabulous\u2026 and I\u2019m so proud of that.\u201d<\/p>\n Emma is currently engaged to actor Cody John, and the two have been linked since 2022.
