My 600-lb Life<\/em><\/a>‘s Dolly Martinez has died at the age of 30.<\/p>\n Martinez’s death was announced by her sister Lindsey Cooper, who wrote in a Saturday Facebook<\/a> post, “It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beautiful sister.”<\/p>\n Cooper continued, “Dolly had the brightest personality she could light up any room with her laughter, her kindness, and her loving spirit. She had a way of making everyone feel special, and her warmth will stay with us forever.”<\/p>\n “While our hearts are broken here, I find comfort in knowing she is now reunited with our dad in heaven. I can only imagine the joy of that reunion. Rest peacefully, Dolly. You will always be loved, always be missed, and never forgotten,” she concluded.<\/p>\n The tragic update comes days after Cooper penned a Friday post, asking fans to send their thoughts and prayers in the wake of Martinez being hospitalized.<\/p>\n “Today is national siblings day and it for sure was a hard one,\u201d she wrote via Facebook<\/a>. “I haven\u2019t made any post or let many [people] know but my sister Dolly is in the hospital and is fighting for her life. At this time I ask for prayers and privacy as we as a family navigate through this hard time”<\/p>\n Martinez is known for her appearance on season 10 of the hit TLC reality show, which documents the years-long journey of individuals who weigh over 600 pounds as they strive to lose weight and potentially undergo gastric bypass surgery. In her 2021 episode, Martinez weighed just under 593 pounds, and relied on supplemental oxygen.<\/p>\n She was shown meeting with the show’s bariatric surgeon Dr. Now and after the episode, moved to Houston to be closer to the surgeon’s office. Among those have died after documenting\u00a0 their attempted weight-loss journeys are Gina Krasley, who died at age 30 in 2021, Larry Myers Jr., who died in 2023 at age 48<\/a>, Latonya Pottain, who died in 2025 at age 40<\/a>, and Pauline Potter, who died at 62<\/a> that same year.<\/p>\n
