DES MOINES, Iowa \u2014 The Iowa State Fair is not just another summer tradition this year. It is shaping up to feel bigger, louder, and more unpredictable as it ties into the nationwide America 250 celebration.<\/p>\n

That means more than patriotic branding. Behind the scenes, organizers are working to create an atmosphere fairgoers have not experienced before. The focus includes expanded entertainment and a stronger push to spotlight emerging talent.<\/p>\n

If you have ever walked past a free stage and discovered an act you did not expect, that experience is exactly what organizers want to build on.<\/p>\n

Trivia League returns with cash prizes, themed competition nights <\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cYou just never know who you will see on those free stages who could break out,\u201d said Entertainment Director Tonya Cook during a recent podcast interview with Maxwell and Amy. \u201cThere are not many places where performers can play in front of thousands like that.\u201d<\/p>\n

That opportunity is growing.<\/p>\n

Organizers say they are actively looking for performers to fill multiple daily slots across the fairgrounds. That includes local acts and performers who have built audiences online.<\/p>\n

The goal is simple. Keep energy high all day and give visitors something new to discover around every corner. At the same time, popular attractions from last year are expected to return.<\/p>\n

That is when major entertainment announcements are expected, including key lineup details that will help fairgoers start mapping out their schedules.<\/p>\n

Until then, bookings are still being finalized and gaps are still being filled. That work behind the scenes could lead to one of the most diverse entertainment lineups the fair has seen in years.<\/p>\n
