Britney Spears<\/strong><\/a> has checked into a treatment facility after she was arrested for driving under the influence.<\/p>\n

A rep for Spears, 44, confirmed to Us Weekly<\/em> on Sunday, April 12, that the iconic pop singer voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility. Celebrity Intelligence<\/em><\/a> was the first to report the news.<\/p>\n

One month earlier, news broke that Spears had been working on herself since her DUI arrest. Us<\/em> understood in March that the pop star has been sober since the incident and attending AA meetings.<\/p>\n

Us <\/i>confirmed on March 5 that Spears was arrested for a DUI<\/a> the night before while driving near her home in California. She was booked at 3:02 a.m. on Thursday morning and released within three hours.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tBritney Spears was arrested for driving under the influence on Wednesday, March 4. Every detail \u2014 from her reported blood alcohol level to the status of her Instagram account \u2014 has been making headlines. The arrest occurred nearly five years after her conservatorship ended. Spears was placed under a conservatorship following her 2007 split from [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

According to 911 audio obtained by Us, <\/i>Spears\u2019 car had been driving \u201cin and out of lanes\u201d<\/a> and speeding. The call operator also noted that the vehicle was \u201cerratic[ly] braking, swerving and driving with no tail light.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

The pop star is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, May 4.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable,\u201d a spokesperson for Spears told Us<\/i><\/a> in a statement after her release. \u201cBritney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law, and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney\u2019s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The rep continued, \u201cHer loved ones are going to come up with an overdue, needed plan to set her up for success for well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n

Spears\u2019 rep also revealed the singer\u2019s two sons would be \u201cspending more time with\u201d her following her arrest.<\/p>\n

According to the Ventura County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Spears, 44, was booked into the pretrial detention facility at 3:02 a.m. on Thursday, March 5 and cited. The pop star was released at 6:07 a.m, spending [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Spears shares sons Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19, with ex-husband Kevin Federline<\/strong>, who had all moved to Hawaii in 2023 amid their estrangement from the \u201cCircus\u201d singer. Spears reconciled with her kids last year.<\/p>\n
