Serving as\u00a0Backstage Country<\/em>\u00a0co-host for the week with Elaina Smith, Kane Brown gave listeners a closer look at the story behind his latest single, \u201cWoman.\u201d Released in March, the track has a catchy beat. But behind the foot-stomping tune, the meaning behind the song is what really stands out.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Brown shared that \u201cWoman\u201d happened while at a writer\u2019s camp. \u201cWe had\u00a0probably written\u00a0seven or eight songs that day. When you write that much, eventually\u00a0you’ll\u00a0get to a blah point, like, your\u00a0brain’s\u00a0just fried. So I got up, I was on a strict diet, so I had taken my food, and I was warming it up in the microwave, and in that time, I just got to thinking, \u2018Man, they talking about girls, but I got a woman.\u2019\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He continued, \u201cAnd the other writers were sitting in the living room, and I went and told them. I said, \u2018Hey, guys, I think I got our next idea.\u2019 And\u00a0they’re\u00a0like, \u2018What is it?\u2019 And I told them that, and they said, \u2018Where’s this been at?\u2019 And I thought about it a month\u00a0before, but\u00a0never wrote it down.\u201d Brown chuckled, \u201cAnd it was like God had just dropped it in my lap, saying, \u2018Don’t forget about this idea!\u2019\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The Tennessee native recalled that the original idea came to him while he was on his back porch, and his friends were inviting him to go to a bar. \u201cI said, \u2018Man, what? Do I look like going out and being y\u2019all\u2019s wingman? Y\u2019all are just going to bring all these girls over!\u2019\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Brown continued, \u201cAnd I look through my back doors, [which] are glass.\u00a0So\u00a0I look through the glass, my wife\u00a0she’s\u00a0in there,\u00a0she’s\u00a0in her pajamas, cleaning the kitchen, getting ready for bed. And I was like, \u2018Man, y’ all are sitting out here talking about girls, and I got a woman.\u2019 When I took it back in, we ended up writing it. And the writers were like, \u2018I’m not writing any more music.\u2019 The rest of the day,\u00a0they’re\u00a0like, \u2018This is it. This is our smash.\u2019 And I just knew right then that this was my big song for this year.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Brown believes that anybody\u00a0who\u2019s\u00a0found their special someone can relate to the track. \u201cI’m\u00a0really excited for people to hear and hope that they know life\u00a0isn’t\u00a0about partying and all that.\u00a0It’s\u00a0about your loved ones around you and your family.\u00a0That’s\u00a0what life is, just being cool with that [and] you\u00a0don’t\u00a0have to do something every day. You\u00a0don’t\u00a0have to go out and party every day.
