Cheryl Ladd<\/strong> is looking back at her time on Charlie\u2019s Angels <\/strong>and revealing how her frustration with her on-screen wardrobe led her to take a bold stand. Speaking at PaleyFest L.A., where the cast gathered to celebrate the show\u2019s 50th anniversary, Ladd shared<\/a> that she grew increasingly annoyed at being repeatedly dressed in bikinis during filming.<\/p>\n The actress, now 74, joined the hit series in 1977 as Kris Munroe, stepping into the role as the younger sister of Farrah Fawcett\u2019s character after her departure. \u201cHe liked me in a bikini,\u201d she said of producer Aaron Spelling.\u00a0Ladd acknowledged she grew frustrated with having to repeatedly wear two-piece outfits in scenes, saying it began to \u201cp\u2014 me off.\u201d<\/p>\n Speaking at the panel, she recalled deciding to take a different approach. \u201cI thought, \u2018OK, how am I going to get out of this?’\u201d Ladd said, adding that she ultimately purchased what she described as the \u201ctiniest little bikini ever seen on television at that point.\u201d<\/p>\n The move didn\u2019t go unnoticed by the production team. She said she soon heard that Spelling wasn\u2019t pleased. \u201cAt first, somebody came and told me Aaron said, \u2018Tell the little troublemaker she\u2019s never going to do that again,’\u201d Ladd<\/span> shared. And she didn\u2019t repeat the stunt.<\/p>\n But for Cheryl Ladd, the point had already been made.\u00a0After that, Ladd said, any time she appeared in a swimsuit, it was something she felt comfortable wearing. Her co-star Jaclyn Smith even joked during the panel, \u201cWell, our ratings went up!\u201d<\/p>\n The trio also took a moment to reflect on the legacy of Charlie\u2019s Angels and remember Farrah Fawcett, who died in 2009 after battling cancer.
