\u201cClub Kid,\u201d Jordan Firstman\u2019s buzzy directorial debut starring Cara Delevingne (\u201cAmerican Horror Story\u201d), Diego Calva (\u201cBabylon\u201d) and Firstman himself, has been boarded by UTA Independent Film Group and Charades ahead of the Cannes Film Festival.<\/p>\n
Slated to world premiere in Un Certain Regard, \u201cClub Kid\u201d is set in New York City and follows a washed-up party promoter who is forced to turn his life around when an unexpected visitor arrives.<\/p>\n
More from Variety<\/strong><\/p>\n Firstman, an internet-native creative talent and star of HBO\u2019s \u201cI Love L.A.,\u201d wrote, directed and stars in \u201cClub Kid,\u201d alongside Delevingne, Calva, Eldar Isgandarov and newcomer Reggie Absolom. The film was shot on 35mm by Adam Newport-Berra, the director of photography who recently won an Emmy for his work on \u201cThe Studio.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cClub Kid\u201d is produced by Academy Award-winner Alex Coco (\u201cAnora\u201d) and Galen Core (\u201cLurker\u201d), alongside Topic Studio\u2019s Ryan Heller (\u201cA Real Pain\u201d) and Michael Bloom. Topic Studios also financed the UTA Independent Film Group set up the financing for the film with Topic Studios and is handling Firstman is represented by UTA, Black Bear, The Lede Company and Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz. Absolom is represented by Mark Jermin Management, and Isgandarov by Elevate Entertainment and Bloch Law.
