Aubrey Plaza confirmed her pregnancy<\/a> in the most Aubrey Plaza<\/a> way. Days after she was photographed showing off her baby bump<\/a> on a day out in New York City, the My Old Ass<\/em> star went on the Smartless<\/em> podcast<\/a> to address the exciting development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, there\u2019s a baby inside of me,\u201d she told the co-hosts\u2014Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett\u2014who could not believe the news. \u201cNo, I said there is a baby inside of me right now,\u201d she confirmed.<\/p>\n

The Parks and Recreation<\/em> alum is expecting her first child with fellow actor boyfriend Christopher Abbott. The two have known each other and been friends for years, having worked together both on the screen and on the theater stage. They began quietly dating last summer.<\/p>\n

In the podcast, Plaza said that she actually got a checkup earlier in the day. \u201cToday was a big day. I went to the doctor\u2019s today, and my dog also went to the doctor\u2019s. And both of us \u2014 my dog\u2019s getting a scan right now. I got a scan earlier. I\u2019m not kidding,\u201d she said. \u201cShe had to get an ultrasound on her stomach. And then I got an ultrasound on my stomach, and there is a baby in there.\u201d<\/p>\n

When asked if she is \u201cexcited\u201d about becoming a mom, Plaza replied, \u201cI am. Yeah. I\u2019ve always wanted\u2026 I\u2019ve always wanted to see what that\u2019s all about, you know? It just seems so interesting, that whole thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
