With Gouge Away.<\/p>\n<p><em>8 p.m. April 23; Moore Theatre, 1932 Second Ave., Seattle; $40.50; <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stgpresents.org\/events\/wednesday\/\">stgpresents.org<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Waxahatchee and MJ Lenderman<\/h2>\n<p>Speaking of indie rock\u2019s Southern renaissance, this co-headlining tour pairs two of its brightest luminaries in Waxahatchee \u2014 the nom de plume of Katie Crutchfield \u2014 and slacker-rock standout <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gq.com\/story\/the-mj-lenderman-story-you-havent-heard\">MJ Lenderman, the Wednesday guitarist who recently stopped touring with the band<\/a> following his romantic split with Hartzman. Waxahatchee is still sailing on 2024\u2019s Grammy-winning \u201cTigers Blood,\u201d which featured Lenderman on guitar and occasional vocals, including the exquisite harmonies on the banjo-plucking single \u201cRight Back to It.\u201d Brennan Wedl opens.<\/p>\n<p><em>7:30 p.m. May 3; Paramount Theatre, 911 Pine St., Seattle; sold-out; <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stgpresents.org\/events\/waxahatchee-mj-lenderman\/\">stgpresents.org<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Queens of the Stone Age<\/h2>\n<p>The desert rock greats added five West Coast dates to their limited-run Catacombs Tour, inspired by a spookily intimate concert the band shot in 2024 with a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=G14LBixxxWo\">string ensemble in the Catacombs of Paris<\/a>. Main man Josh Homme, who started Queens of the Stone Age during a brief Seattle stint in the \u201890s, and his crew \u201cpromise to twist the volume knob in both directions\u201d while reimagining songs from their catalog. Libby Grace opens this hotly tipped underplay, which quickly sold out.<\/p>\n<p><em>7:30 p.m. April 29; Paramount Theatre, 911 Pine St., Seattle; sold-out, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stgpresents.org\/events\/queens-of-the-stone-age\/\">stgpresents.org<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ann Wilson\u2019s \u2018In My Voice\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>Last seen slaying <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.seattletimes.com\/entertainment\/music\/heart-salutes-seattle-friends-during-victory-lap-homecoming\/\">Climate Pledge Arena with Heart in November<\/a>, Seattle rock hero Ann Wilson comes home to premiere her documentary, \u201cIn My Voice,\u201d with a screening and live Q&amp;A session where Wilson and director Barbara Hall will take audience questions. The film chronicles Wilson\u2019s journey from childhood through Heart\u2019s rise to fame.<\/p>\n<p><em>8 p.m. May 11; Neptune Theatre, 1303 N.E. 45th St., Seattle; $38; <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.stgpresents.org\/events\/ann-wilson-in-my-voice\/\">stgpresents.org<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Pat Metheny<\/h2>\n<p>Quite possibly the hottest ticket in jazz, guitar virtuoso Pat Metheny returns to Seattle for an eight-show run at Jazz Alley. This year, Metheny released his first studio album with his evolving Side-Eye band, a project designed to surround the jazz fusion heavyweight with younger musicians he admires. The ruminative \u201cSide-Eye III+\u201d was produced by Metheny\u2019s longtime collaborator, bassist and University of Washington Jazz Studies faculty Steve Rodby.<\/p>\n<p><em>7:30 and 9:30 p.m. April 23-26; Jazz Alley, 2033 Sixth Ave., Seattle; $138; <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jazzalley.com\/www-home\/artist.jsp?shownum=8739\">jazzalley.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Bad Plus<\/h2>\n<p>The Bad Plus are calling it quits after pushing the boundaries of jazz for 25 years. Founded as a piano trio, the group achieved early success with feather-ruffling jazz renditions of rock and pop hits (including Nirvana\u2019s \u201cSmells Like Teen Spirit\u201d), once considered taboo. The avant-gardists have continued to evolve since pianist and co-founder Ethan Iverson left at the end of 2017, eventually welcoming Ben Monder (guitar) and the Seattle-raised Chris Speed (sax\/clarinet) ahead of their last two albums. <span data-st-annotation-ref=\"66ee6\" class=\"annotated\">Before kicking off The Bad Plus\u2019 farewell tour in Seattle on April 21, Speed will lead his Yeah No group (featuring Seattle pals Cuong Vu and Jim Black) in a rare hometown date at Baba Yaga on April 15.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>7:30 p.m. April 21-22; Jazz Alley, 2033 Sixth Ave., Seattle; $41; <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.jazzalley.com\/www-home\/artist.jsp?shownum=8768\">jazzalley.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Telehealth<\/h2>\n<p>This Seattle band leveled up on its sophomore album, \u201cGreen World Image,\u201d its first with hometown label Sub Pop. Taking more of a full-band approach compared with its pandemic-conceived debut, Telehealth combines synth-charged post-punk and new wave with satirical and lol-inducing takes on our doomscrolling times \u2014 a refreshingly original and distinctly modern-Seattle band helping define the current scene. Local shoegazers Coral Grief and Buddy Wynkopp open this \u201cGreen World Image\u201d release show.<\/p>\n<p><em>7 p.m. May 14; Neumos, 925 E. Pike St., Seattle; 21-and-older; $25.37; <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.neumos.com\/events\/detail\/telehealth-tickets-1335603\">neumos.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Grace Ives<\/h2>\n<p>Following a New York-to-Los Angeles move and decision to stop drinking, rising alt-pop singer-songwriter Grace Ives came into full bloom on last month\u2019s resplendent \u201cGirlfriend.\u201d With whispery, gold-dusted vocals, Ives\u2019 third full-length takes a candid, sophisticated leap from her bedroom-y synth-pop beginnings and sticks the landing with assists from producers Ariel Rechtshaid and John DeBold.<\/p>\n<p><em>5 p.m. May 1; Neumos, 925 E. With \u201cPort of Miami,\u201d the Maybach Music boss combined gangster rap lyricism with gleaming, booming production that carried crossover appeal \u2014 hooky, party-ready anthems for chartered yacht cruises.<\/p>\n<p><em>7:30 p.m. May 6; Benaroya Hall, 200 University St., Seattle; tickets start at $105; <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.seattlesymphony.org\/en\/concerttickets\/calendar\/2025-2026\/26-rick-ross\">seattlesymphony.org<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sunn O)))<\/h2>\n<p>For the first time in their career, Seattle-formed drone metal titans Stephen O\u2019Malley and Greg Anderson of <span data-st-annotation-ref=\"703e6a\" class=\"annotated\">Sunn O)))<\/span> eschewed outside musicians for their 10th studio album, released this month through Sub Pop. Recording at Woodinville\u2019s Bear Creek Studio entirely as a duo hardly scaled down their colossal sound: an earthen dirge of harnessed feedback and distortion as thick as a Cascade forest.<\/p>\n<p><em>8 p.m. April 24; Showbox SoDo, 1700 First Ave. S., Seattle; $56.34; <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.showboxpresents.com\/events\/detail\/1297724\">showboxpresents.com<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Northwest Terror Fest VIII<\/h2>\n<p>Seattle\u2019s <span data-st-annotation-ref=\"bc6c47\" class=\"annotated\">extreme metal<\/span> fest returns with another bulldozing lineup led by progressive sludge lords Kylesa, Finnish psychedelic black metal vets Oranssi Pazuzu and cult-hero grindcore band Pig Destroyer, performing \u201cProwler in the Yard.\u201d But perhaps the biggest treat for PNW metalheads is the addition of Seattle thrashers Black Breath, playing a rare reunion set following the 2019 death of bassist Elijah Nelson.<\/p>\n<p><em>4 p.m. May 7-9; Neumos and Barboza, 925 E.
