Kim Kardashian<\/a> is producing her first Broadway play.<\/p>\n

The Skims founder, 45, has joined the producing team for The Fear of 13<\/em>,<\/a> which is currently in previews starring Tessa Thompson and Adrien Brody.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy commitment to criminal justice reform has always been about more than just policy \u2013 it\u2019s about people. I\u2019ve learned that sometimes the most effective way to change minds is through a powerful story,\u201d Kardashian said in a statement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Fear of 13<\/em> is that story. It\u2019s a raw, honest look at Nick Yarris\u2019s wrongful conviction and the systemic failures that kept him behind bars for twenty years. I couldn’t be prouder to make my Broadway producing debut with a project that carries such vital weight.”<\/p>\n

The career move is the latest effort by Kardashian, who is studying to become a lawyer<\/a>, to raise awareness for criminal justice reform.<\/p>\n

Lindsey Ferrentino\u2019s play centers around the true story of Nick Yarris, who was imprisoned on death row for over 20 years for a murder he did not commit.<\/p>\n
