Lauren and Nick met at his very own house in 2009, after his sister Angel and brother Aaron insisted on them meeting, and she came to a movie night they were having.<\/p>\n

Speaking with Inside Weddings<\/a> in 2014, Nick recalled: “Three hours into conversing on my balcony overlooking the beach, we saw shooting star after shooting star,” adding: “We both looked at each other and it got quiet.”<\/p>\n

He realized he wanted to propose four years later, when they spent the longest they had ever spent without each other while on tour in Australia.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lauren was born and raised in Southern California. She started briefly working as an actress shortly after she met Nick, appearing in a short movie titled The Pendant in 2010, and later appeared on an episode of One Life to Live, the movie Dead 7, which starred Nick and a few other Backstreet Boys, plus she has featured in a few of her husband’s music videos as well.<\/p>\n

She also previously ran a fitness YouTube channel called Kitt Fit, and appeared on her and her husband’s reality TV show, I Heart Nick Carter, which documented their engagement and wedding.<\/p>\n
