OHIO \u2014\u00a0The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has announced its 2026 inductees, recognizing artists who have left a lasting mark on music and culture.<\/p>\n

Organizers said the 2026 Induction Ceremony is set for Saturday, Nov. 14, in Los Angeles, California, and will debut on ABC and Disney+ in December.<\/p>\n
\u201cInduction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is music\u2019s highest honor. We look forward to celebrating these remarkable artists at this year\u2019s ceremony – it\u2019s going to be an unforgettable night\u201d, said John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n
Inductees were announced on ABC and Disney+ during a\u00a0Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-themed episode of American Idol by Ryan Seacrest and 2022 inductee Lionel Richie.<\/p>\n
To be eligible for induction, an artist or band must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years before the year of nomination.\u00a0<\/p>\n
In the Performer Category, inductees include artists \u201cwho have created music whose originality, impact and influence has changed the course of rock & roll.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 2026 inductees for the category include:<\/p>\n
The Early Influence Award recognizes artists \u201cwhose music and performance style have directly influenced, inspired, and evolved rock & roll and music impacting culture.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Musical Excellence Award is given \u201cto artists, musicians, songwriters and producers whose originality and influence have had a dramatic impact on music.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Ahmet Ertegun Award recognizes non-performing industry professionals who have had a major influence on the creative development and growth of rock & roll and music that has impacted culture.<\/p>\n
The inductee for this award is Ed Sullivan.<\/p>\n
First-time nominees include Luther Vandross and Wu-Tang Clan. Organizers said\u00a0Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Iron Maiden, Joy Division\/New Order, Oasis and Sade have all had previous nominations.<\/p>\n
Ticket information for the 2026 ceremony will be announced at a later date.<\/p>\n
