Beth McDermott<\/span> Classical guitarist Dave McLellan<\/a> has a Sunday matinee performance scheduled for later this month at the Parish Center for the Arts in Westford<\/a>, according to a community announcement.<\/p>\n The show starts at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 19.<\/p>\n McLellan, who has been a concert and chamber music guitarist since 1976, has performed throughout the U.S., South America, Great Britain and Europe, according to the announcement. He has performed at Carnegie Hall<\/a> and Merkin Hall<\/a>, both in New York City, and at London’s Wigmore Hall.<\/p>\n McLellan has received a National Endowment for the Arts grant and won the Concerts Atlantique competition, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n He has collaborated with several musicians, including Neil Anderson of the Anderson-McLellan Guitar Duo; the late guitarist\/composers Frank Wallace and Edward Flower; guitarist Peter Clemente; flutist Tracy Kraus of the Worcester Chamber Music Society; sopranos Rebecca Grimes and Rebekah Alexander; mezzo Emily Marvosh; violinist Emil Altschuler; cellist Seth MacLeod; and various professional and community choral groups.<\/p>\n More: <\/strong>Metrowest Symphony Orchestra to showcase youth soloist at concert<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n McLellan is a former faculty member of The Hartt School at the University of Connecticut, the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest in Framingham<\/a>; and the Artist in Residence program in Harvard, according to the announcement. He currently maintains a private studio for intermediate and advanced classical guitar students.<\/p>\n Doors will open at 3:30 p.m. Tickets range from $5 to $20 in advance and will be $25 at the door, if available.
