Pre-order it <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/temples.tmstor.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Announced in February with <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/temples-interview-jet-stream-heart-new-album-bliss-dance-3930517\">the Kylie Minogue-inspired lead single \u2018Jet Stream Heart\u2019<\/a>, the album is the fifth LP from frontman James Bagshaw and co. and sees them explore new electronic avenues.<\/p>\n<p>That is showcased on the latest single, which is centred around a dancefloor-ready melody, and kicks in with scuzzy riffs and pulsating synths.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<em>Sweet release in the same old morning\/ Sharp shock horror never seemed so boring\/ Bleed my money then you leave me dry\/ Please deliver me into the night<\/em>,\u201d Bagshaw sings with distorted vocals in the verse, building towards the euphoric chorus: \u201c<em>Fall away\/ I wanna feel alive\/ Sign off the night\/ And leave without your vendetta<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Temples - Vendetta (Official Video)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/j4j5zPsiNOk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>The single was originally meant to be two separate tracks, and came together when the band blended the two contrasting ideas \u2013 leading to a dizzying, intoxicating feeling throughout.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuddenly, you had this almost Justice-Daft Punk-sounding sample that then goes into something that could be a modern take on dance music,\u201d the frontman said. \u201cLike a <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/david-guetta\">David Guetta<\/a> or <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/avicii\">Avicii<\/a> song.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The record marks the follow-up to 2023\u2019s \u2018<a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/temples-announce-new-album-exotico-share-bouncy-new-single-gamma-rays-buy-tickets-3378790\">Exotico<\/a>\u2019 and sees Temples push their psych-rock roots into new directions \u2013 introducing nods to \u201990s and early \u201900s dance.<\/p>\n<p>Inspiration came from artists like <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/faithless\">Faithless<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/underworld\">Underworld<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/massive-attack\">Massive Attack<\/a> and <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/portishead\">Portishead<\/a>, and while <a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/artists\/sean-ono-lennon\">Sean Ono Lennon<\/a> produced on \u2018Exotico\u2019, this time the band have taken things into their own hands and let their instinct lead the way.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nme.com\/news\/music\/temples-interview-jet-stream-heart-new-album-bliss-dance-3930517\">Speaking to <em>NME<\/em> about the record<\/a>, Bagshaw explained that they all felt inspired to \u201ccome at this record from a different angle\u201d this time around, \u201cand not follow our own tropes\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><figure id=\"attachment_3930534\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3930534\" style=\"width: 1000px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3930534\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Temples announce new album \u2018Bliss\u2019. Credit: Press<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn terms of creative output, you\u2019re bearing it all and you can feel very naked,\u201d the frontman said. \u201cFor us, it\u2019s all about the purity of the idea and the creative vision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is pure Temples, more than records we\u2019ve produced ourselves before because we really haven\u2019t thought about how it\u2019s going to be received. That\u2019s incredibly liberating.
