The village of Cadiz held its March 26 meeting, passing five resolutions, including one emergency measure to help the new owner of the concession stand across from Mazeroski Field get up and running.<\/p>\n Village Administrator Brandon Ludwig, in his bimonthly report, began with problems involving a pump at the Tappan pump house. He said the No. 2 pump had been installed and likely would be up and running at the beginning of the following week after an expected part was delivered.<\/p>\n He also discussed waterline breaks during the winter and identified about 18 problem areas. Ludwig said a contractor will come in and lay asphalt over the repaired areas.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019ll be fixing a lot of them, especially on the main drag,\u201d Ludwig said. \u201cWe\u2019ve had several probably across the street, so hopefully this month we have a lot of those repaired.\u201d<\/p>\n Ludwig said Sally Buffalo Park\u2019s 50-amp upgrade is nearing completion, with two campgrounds now offering 50-amp hookups. He added more upgrades are planned on the lake side and could take place during the season.<\/p>\n \u201cWe continue to move to get that entire park upgraded to 50 amps, and that\u2019s a big deal,\u201d he told council.<\/p>\n Councilmember Sal Deluca also made a motion to allow the village\u2019s Community Improvement Corporation to continue acting as its agent \u201cin terms of property matters.\u201d He said the rate would be 10%, and council approved it unanimously.<\/p>\n Deluca followed that with another motion for the CIC to sell four lots on Grant Street. He said the lots are owned by the village and are vacant. Council set the minimum price at $15,000 per lot, which also was approved.<\/p>\n Council also passed five ordinances. The first, 2026-01, was a third and final reading dealing with \u201crequirements of formal permit to complete work and services related to the construction, alteration, removal or demolition of a building or structure.\u201d<\/p>\n Resolution 2026-02 covered permanent appropriations for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2026.<\/p>\n Resolution 2026-04 also received a final reading and dealt with vacating an alley perpendicular to Oak Wood Drive situated between two private owners.<\/p>\n Resolution 2026-06 was read as an emergency measure authorizing the mayor and village administrator \u201cto enter into a license agreement with the Twisted Scoop LLC\u201d to operate the concession stand at Sally Buffalo Park.<\/p>\n Deluca said the lease agreement is the same as the one for the previous owner, $1,800 for the season. He said the owner is responsible for utilities associated with the concession stand.<\/p>\n The final measure, Resolution 2026-07, also was read as an emergency and created a full-time parks and recreation manager position at Sally Buffalo Park.
