Dan Levy just released a new comedy series, Big Mistakes<\/em>, which he created with Rachel Sennott and stars in, marking his first project since Schitt’s Creek<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Levy tells PEOPLE he has plans “to tell this story for seasons and seasons and seasons” and reveals he knows how he’ll wrap it all up<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n Big Mistakes<\/em>, which also stars Taylor Ortega, Jack Innanen, Boran Kuzum and Laurie Metcalf, is now streaming on Netflix<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n Big Mistakes<\/em><\/a> will run for years if Dan Levy<\/a> has his way.<\/p>\n The Netflix comedy series, which Levy created with Rachel Sennott<\/a>, premiered on April 9, and Levy, 42, tells PEOPLE he already has plans for the long run.<\/p>\n “I know how the entire show ends,” he says on the red carpet at the New York City premiere of the show. “Oh, yeah. You gotta know what you’re playing with before you pitch it to somebody.”<\/p>\n Levy stars in Big Mistakes<\/em> alongside Taylor Ortega<\/a> as brother-sister duo<\/a> Nicky and Morgan, “two deeply incapable siblings who are in over their heads when a misguided theft for their dying grandmother accidentally pulls them into the world of organized crime,” per the official synopsis.<\/p>\n Dan Levy as Nicky in “Big Mistakes” The pressure was on for the actor after Schitt’s Creek<\/em><\/a> ended \u2014 which he’d created with his dad, Eugene Levy<\/a>, and they both starred in \u2014in 2020 when it came to what his next project would be.<\/p>\n “When I left Schitt’s<\/em>, I really wanted to make sure that the next thing I did in TV gave me that same sense of inspiration and passion and excitement and love and affection for the people I was working with,” Dan says.<\/p>\n Big Mistakes<\/em> did just that. “I love these people so much. I’m so proud of this cast and crew. People are working at, like, 110%. And having a show of your own, you\u2019re so proud of what you make, and if you\u2019re lucky enough to get, in our case, six seasons of a TV show, you walk away from that really proud of what you\u2019ve done.”<\/p>\n To jump too quickly into “something else” would do “the new project a disservice,” Dan said. “Because you\u2019re constantly going to be comparing it to the one that came before, so I needed the dust to settle.\u201d<\/p>\n
