Villeneuve described the final movie in the Dune trilogy ‘a thriller – action-packed, more intense and definitely more emotional,’ per Deadline<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He said that it is also a story of ‘redemption’ while adding, ‘But still the heartbeat of the film is that love story between Chani and Paul, [albeit] more of a broken love story.’<\/p>\n

Zendaya explained on stage that her character is ‘at a very different place in her life where that youthful outlook is completely gone.’<\/p>\n

Chalamet also shared that Paul has ‘become his worst vision and he’s struggling to… figure out how to protect those he loves while becoming the all-powerful dark emperor of the universe.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

The filmmaker added that it was ’emotional’ to say goodbye to the characters.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘We became like a small family. It’s like 10 years of our lives,’ Villeneuve expressed to the attendees.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Dune: Part One premiered in theaters back in 2021 – with filming for the epic space opera movie beginning in 2019 at the time.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n
