New report says Cate Blanchett has been cast as Martha Stewart in Good Thing<\/h2>\n

According to a Variety<\/a> report, Cate Blanchett has joined the cast of Good Thing as Martha Stewart. Ricky Tollman has written the screenplay. Blanchett is producing the project with Coco Francini of Dirty Films, Randy Manis, and Neil Dodson. <\/p>\n

The news comes amid Stewart telling the same outlet that she had been \u201chearing rumors\u201d about the project during an interview at the New York gala screening of Brunello: The Gracious Visionary. Stewart added, \u201cI think there is something in the works right now with Cate Blanchett called Good Thing.\u201d<\/p>\n

The movie title likely references Stewart\u2019s iconic catchphrase, \u201cIt\u2019s a good thing.\u201d <\/p>\n

Over the years, Stewart, 84, has established herself as one of the most influential figures in lifestyle media. She was arguably at the height of her career in the \u201990s and 2000s, releasing multiple best-selling books and serving as the host of syndicated shows Martha Stewart Living and Martha (alternatively, The Martha Stewart Show). She also published a popular magazine that shared the name with the former series.<\/p>\n
