Grammy-winning country star Maren Morris launched her most direct and expletive-filled broadside yet against President Donald Trump<\/a> and his supporters in a video, declaring she has \u201cno forgiveness\u201d for voters who backed him, igniting a firestorm across social media.<\/p>\n

In the video, Morris said, \u201cI don\u2019t have forgiveness for the triple Trumpers or any of the Trumpers. You did vote for this,\u201d addressing those who supported the president across all three of his campaigns, as well as those who backed him once.<\/p>\n

Morris unloads on Trump<\/h2>\n

Morris did not hold back in describing the president. She called<\/a> Trump \u201ca dementia-ridden, diaper-clad, cornball, ex-TV host,\u201d and urged followers to \u201clook at his stats.\u201d The remark about his television past was widely seen as a jab at his time hosting The Celebrity Apprentice.<\/p>\n

She added<\/a>, \u201cYou voted for this and you got bamboozled. And I get it, like, Fox News is a propaganda machine of just, like, Cocomelon brain rot for boomers.\u201d She concluded, \u201cThis is literally the result of employing and voting for losers.\u201d Morris also took aim at Secretary of War Pete Hegseth<\/a>, mocking what she called his \u201calcoholic sideburns,\u201d before laughing as the video ended.<\/p>\n

Questions about Trump\u2019s will and legacy<\/h2>\n

In a second TikTok, Morris questioned whether Trump has a will and who might inherit his fortune.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we all leave this earth, we don\u2019t take things when we go. We don\u2019t take the money or anything, really. It\u2019s just you,\u201d she said<\/a>. \u201cSo, unless they figure out how to clone him, which I know billionaires are obsessed with that, is he leaving his wealth to anyone? My guess is no.\u201d The video was reposted to Instagram and later deleted, adding to the viral spread of her remarks and fueling backlash from conservative commentators and MAGA<\/a> supporters.<\/p>\n

Morris acknowledges the cost<\/h2>\n

The latest comments follow a broader public reckoning with her political identity. In a January 2026 TikTok, Morris admitted to losing fans over her views, saying, \u201cI\u2019ve lost a lot of fans over the years because of my viewpoints and I think that\u2019s fair. If you don\u2019t agree with me and you can\u2019t enjoy my music because of my viewpoints, you are absolutely allowed to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added<\/a>, \u201cI do feel like I\u2019ve sacrificed a lot of my mental health, my financial standing, my family, just because I\u2019m so deeply concerned and uncomfortable with the weird status quo of country music.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also warned<\/a> aspiring artists, \u201cI think for these upcomers in music or country music, just know it is a sacrifice to stick to your guns and you will lose people along the way. Whether it\u2019s fans or friends or family members, you will lose people because you are breaking a lot of norms and cycles.\u201d<\/p>\n

Morris addressed those who might leave her fan base as well. \u201cIf you don\u2019t agree with me \u2026 you can\u2019t enjoy my music because of my viewpoints? You\u2019re absolutely allowed to do that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Morris\u2019 standing<\/h2>\n

Despite personal and professional costs she has acknowledged, Morris has shown no sign of backing down.<\/p>\n

She said<\/a> on TikTok, \u201cIt\u2019s a weird time right now. I\u2019m very broken-hearted. I love my country, but it is so broken. And I wish I could snap my fingers and make it better.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cI will always write songs. Nobody \u2014 nobody \u2014 is going to stop me from making music, not now or when I\u2019m 90.\u201d<\/p>\n
