CONTINENTS<\/strong> have released a new music video!<\/p>\n The Welsh metalcore outfit have unveiled their latest single Gatekeeper<\/strong>, accompanied by an official music video. The track tackles the unseen power structures that shape creative industries, focusing on who gets access, visibility, and opportunity \u2013 and how easily those doors can close. The new single follows on from the band\u2019s previous single, Smile<\/strong><\/a>, which was released in December last year.<\/p>\n Speaking about the new single, vocalist Phil Cross<\/strong> comments, \u201cGatekeeper<\/strong> comes from a very real place for us. We\u2019ve always built this band around community, and over time you start to see how things operate behind the scenes, for example tour opportunities where bands have asked for us specifically, yet somehow never make it through, artists happy to tap into your crowd but not always willing to return the favour.<\/em><\/p>\n At the same time, you\u2019re navigating algorithms and having to pay just to reach people who already follow you, which means even your own audience doesn\u2019t always see what you\u2019re doing. This kind of imbalance isn\u2019t unique to music either, you see it across a lot of creative spaces.<\/em><\/p>\n We understand it\u2019s a business and relationships change, and this track reflects that reality. That\u2019s why the line \u2018never going to see what it could have been\u2019 hits\u2026.it captures those moments that pass you by and the things that don\u2019t quite come together.
