Meghan Markle<\/a> is said to be thinking about her family’s “next chapter”, with the 44-year-old keen on making one major decision. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex currently reside in California with their children, six-year-old Prince Archie and four-year-old Princess Lilibet.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The family of four, who moved to California in 2020, live in a gated community in Montecito, with many well-known neighbours. But an insider has claimed Meghan has plans to move closer to Los Angeles – with their current home around 91 miles from LA.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

They said: “Meghan\u2019s decided that being closer to Los Angeles will make life easier.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The insider told Heatworld<\/a>: “She\u2019s sick of having to lose 4 hours of her day in the car when she has meetings or appointments, and the fact that their neighbours continue to trash-talk them doesn\u2019t exactly make her feel welcome.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Speaking further of the former royal, they added: “But more than that, she says they\u2019re too cut off from the social scene in Hollywood<\/a>, she wants to be much more tapped in because that\u2019s when the deals really happen.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Discussing Meghan and Harry’s current neighbourhood, they added: “The fact is, for most power players in the biz, Montecito is just a vacation spot; they leave their home there empty most of the year, so it\u2019s not like there are many chances to schmooze.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The insider also added that Meghan may consider a range of neighbourhoods – and may even take into consideration one that Harry may favour.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The insider says: “She\u2019d love to get a second place in Brentwood or Bel Air, as a lot of her friends have.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“If they can squeeze it, Meghan would love it if they could be bi-coastal and get a place in New York, too. But the reality is they aren\u2019t in the financial position to run two massive households so they need to make a choice.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

“She\u2019s open to Malibu if Harry still wants the beach life and she\u2019s even saying Calabasas could be a great fit, not least because they could live in the same neighbourhood as Kris Jenner, and she\u2019d really love to repair that relationship.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
