It\u2019s TIME100 season<\/a>, and landing on the four covers this year are Nikki Glaser<\/a> (you go, girl!), Luke Combs (ok), Zoe Salda\u00f1a (why not?), and Wagner Moura (swoon). But it wouldn\u2019t be the TIME100 without 96 more entries, plus a rotating cast of celebrities writing about their now-Time-featured famous friends.\u00a0<\/p>\n Included on \u201cThe 100 Most Influential People of 2026\u201d (we\u2019re not even halfway into the year, but sure!) is Dakota Johnson, whom I love, and whom Taylor Swift also apparently loves because she wrote Johnson\u2019s tribute. I guess I knew they were friends, but I did have to Google\u00a0Dakota Johnson Taylor Swift friends? to be reminded of their NYC dinner sightings. Anyway.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIn recent years, as she\u2019s promoted her films, the name Dakota\u202fJohnson has become synonymous with refreshing honesty in a world of media-trained answers,\u201d Swift wrote.<\/a> \u201cMaybe it\u2019s her sing-song vocal delivery, serenely answering questions with such frank candor it makes you feel like maybe this girl just\u202f\u2026\u202fcan\u2019t lie?!\u201d Actually, she can lie. She lied about loving limes in her Architectural Digest\u00a0home tour in 2020, and didn\u2019t reveal she lied until one year later.<\/a> But I digress\u2014I also love watching Johnson get interviewed. It always feels like we\u2019re just one question away from getting another \u201cThat\u2019s not the truth, Ellen\u201d moment.\u00a0<\/p>\n I don\u2019t mean to ruin Johnson\u2019s big moment with the memory of what I imagine is her lowest\u2014but wow, was that movie bad. The script was terrible, the acting was bewildering, and the whole time I was thinking, Was Dakota blackmailed into this? Did Swift see that movie? Did she text her after? Did she tell her she loved it? Or did she say something like, \u201cSo proud of you for all your \u2018fascinatingly varied\u2019 choices\u201d?<\/p>\n \u201cAs her friend, I can vouch for her realness, but add that she\u2019s also one of the most empathetic people I\u2019ve ever known,\u201d Swift wrote. Which is lovely. I hope Johnson had plenty of empathy for herself, for whatever reason\u2014contractual, karmic, or otherwise\u2014she had for ever reading that script in the first place.\u00a0<\/p>\n Like what you just read?
