Detroit\u2019s Jack Flaherty allowed one run and two hits in six innings with seven strikeouts and three walks. Kansas City\u2019s Seth Lugo gave up one run and five hits with seven strikeouts and no walks in 6 2\/3 innings.<\/p>\n<p>Each team had a baserunner thrown out at the plate in the third inning.<\/p>\n<p>Caglianone tripled to lead off the top of the inning, but Gleyber Torres threw him out when he tried to score on a one-out groundball.<\/p>\n<p>In the bottom half, McKinstry attempted to score on Javier B\u00e1ez\u2019s double, but Michael Massey\u2019s relay throw got him at the plate. B\u00e1ez, though, took third on the play and came home on Jake Rogers\u2019 sacrifice fly. He was originally called out by plate umpire Jansen Visconti, but a replay review showed he reached over Salvador Perez\u2019s glove to touch the plate.<\/p>\n<p>Kansas City tied it in the fourth on Kyle Isbel\u2019s RBI single.<\/p>\n<p>Vinnie Pasquantino tripled with two outs in the eighth, but Finnegan got Salvador Perez to fly out.
