Her grandkids call her \u201cNana,\u201d though her first granddaughter initially called her a different name<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
MacDowell became a grandmother for the second time in December 2024 when her daughter Rainey welcomed baby Bluebell<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Andie MacDowell<\/a> is sharing how she bonds with her two grandkids.<\/p>\n The actress recently appeared on Today<\/em> to discuss the final season of her show, The Way Home,<\/em> on Wednesday, April 15, and spoke about how she carves out time to spend with her grandkids. MacDowell is grandma to daughter Rainey Qualley<\/a>‘s daughter, Bluebell, and son Justin Qualley’s daughter, Cozette.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, I do FaceTime a lot. And I\u2019m extremely animated,” said MacDowell when asked how she makes time for her grandkids. “My daughter-in-law is really kind of quiet, and my daughter is really quiet. But now Cozette says Nana. And so I\u2019m Nana.”<\/p>\n “But sometimes I say I\u2019m Sweet Pie Nana,” she continued. “And I\u2019ll say, \u2018You\u2019re my Sweetie Pie Cozette!\u2019 That\u2019s what I say. I love that. It\u2019s so much fun.”<\/p>\n Back in April 2025, MacDowell told PEOPLE she was going by a different name<\/a> to her grandkids. At the time, she shared that her first granddaughter, Cozette<\/a>, came up with a more unique moniker for her.<\/p>\n \u201cThey came to stay with me, [Cozette] called me Gaga,\u201d she shared. \u201cSo, that’s fine with me. We’ll see how it all pans out if she continues to call me Gaga. But she couldn’t really say anything else, but she was adamantly calling me Gaga, so I was okay with that.\u201d<\/p>\n
