A poignant joint tribute by the Princess of Wales and the
\nPrincess Royal has been revealed.<\/p>\n
The two women will lead royal representation at the ANZAC Day
\nevents in London, paying tribute to those from Australia and New
\nZealand who lost their lvices in war.<\/p>\n
Princess Anne will take part in the moving dawn service held
\nevery ANZAC Day at Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner. The
\nPrincess of Wales will later lay a wreath at the Cenotaph on behalf
\nof King Charles.<\/p>\n
The dawn service, which includes the sounding of the Last Post,
\nis held as the sun begins to rise on April 25th, the anniversary of
\nthe landings at Gallipoli where so many Australian and New Zealand
\ntroops lost their lives in World War One.<\/p>\n
it will include the sounding of the Last Post and of the
\nreveille as well as readings and national anthems.<\/p>\n
Later on ANZAC Day, the Princess of Wales will take part in a
\nmemorial service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall where she will lay a
\nwreath on behalf of The King. There will also be a Parade at the
\nmemorial.<\/p>\n
Kate then travels to nearby Westminster Abbey for a Service of
\nCommemoration and Thanksgiving. There will be readings given by the
\nHigh Commissioners of Australia and New Zealand as well as prayers
\nread by children from both countries. A M\u0101ori waiata will be
\nperformed by Ng\u0101ti R\u0101nana.<\/p>\n
King George V attended the fist ANZAC Day commemorations which
\nwere held in London in 1916, the first anniversary of the Gallipoli
\nlandings. April 25th is a public holiday now in both Australia and
\nNew Zealand allowing as many people as possible to remember and
\ncommemorate all those who have lost their lives in conflict.<\/p>\n
Kate and Anne will also both attend other events earlier the
\nsame week together. With the Royal Family they will take part in
\ncommemorations for the centenary of the birth of Queen Elizabeth II
\nwhich are set for April 21st, the 100th anniversary of her
\nbirth.<\/p>\n
The Princess Royal will officially open the Memorial Gardens for
\nQueen Elizabeth II. The Princess of Wales, along with Prince
\nWilliam, will be alongside Anne as royals gather at Buckingham
\nPalace for a reception marking the centenary where The King will
\npresent birthday cards to some of those turning 100 this year.<\/p>\n
