Elizabeth \u2013 who recently told Entertainment Tonight<\/a> that as Nadia she was “playing a character” as she is “just not the girl who likes to be naked” \u2013 joins the platform in an effort to take more control over her career.<\/p>\n

“I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career,” the 52-year-old actress told People magazine<\/a> in an interview published Wednesday. “This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans.”<\/p>\n

The actress’ turn to OnlyFans recontextualizes Elizabeth’s partially nude role in the 1999 raunchy teen comedy, as Nadia is recorded via webcam by hapless admirer Jim (Jason Biggs), without her knowledge, in an encounter that spirals into live spectacle.<\/p>\n

Elizabeth told ET that despite people incorrectly assuming her to be like her character, she was still grateful for the role. “Everything I’ve done in my life is because of ‘American Pie,'” she said.<\/p>\n
