Photo courtesy of the Old Forge Library.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-local-theater-at-the-old-forge-library\">Local Theater at the Old Forge Library<\/h2>\n<p id=\"h-local-theater-at-the-old-forge-library\"><strong>5:30 p.m. on April 16 in Old Forge<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Old Forge Library presents local productions of \u201cThe Woman Who Remembered Everything\u201d\u00a0and\u00a0\u201cMoose TV.\u201d This event is free and open to the public.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"scaip scaip-1    \">\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>Written and directed by Ken Carman, the performances feature a\u00a0local\u00a0cast including David Beck, Ken Carman, Millie Carman, Connor Crill, Daniel Kiefer-Bach, Ellen Hunt and Claire Jenny, along with a few surprise appearances from a supporting cast of puppets.<\/p>\n<aside>\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>Carman brings a rich and varied background as an entertainer, educational service provider, recording engineer and editor. Originally from Big Moose, he spent years living and working in Nashville before returning to the Adirondacks where he continues to share his passion for the arts.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-poem-village-at-downtown-artist-cellar\">Poem Village at Downtown Artist Cellar<\/h2>\n<p><strong>7 p.m. on April 16 at DAC in Malone<\/strong><\/p>\n<aside class=\"scaip scaip-2    \">\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>The Downtown Artist Cellar (DAC) invites the community to celebrate National Poetry Month with\u00a0Poem Village, a special evening of poetry.<\/p>\n<p>Poets who submitted work to the Poem Village Project are invited to participate as featured readers, sharing their submitted poem along with up to three additional pieces. An open mic will follow, welcoming all voices\u2014whether you participated in Poem Village this year or simply feel called to share your work.<\/p>\n<aside>\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>As part of this regional initiative, Poem Village installations can be viewed throughout the community. In Malone, poems are on display at Nationwide Insurance, Nelson\u2019s Flower Shop and Caf\u00e9 Nouveau. Additional installations can be found in the Salmon River and Akwesasne communities, including East End and Twin Leaf locations, as well as Bear\u2019s Den. Poems are also installed across St. Lawrence County and in Saranac Lake.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"scaip scaip-3    \">\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>This event is free and open to all. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-loon-zoom-year-in-review\">Loon Zoom: Year in review<\/h2>\n<p><strong>7-8 p.m. on April 16, online via Zoom<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To round out this year\u2019s Loon Zoom series, ACLC Research Biologist Griffin Archambault will offer a year in review and a look forward to what\u2019s in store for ACLC and Adirondack loons in 2026.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"scaip scaip-4    \">\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>Loon Zooms cost $10 to register. Loon Zooms are virtual events. Links will be emailed the day before the presentation. Recordings of the presentation will be sent out the day after the presentation to anyone registered.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-play-reading-at-the-recovery-lounge\">Play reading at the Recovery Lounge<\/h2>\n<p><strong>7-9 p.m. on April 16 at the Upper Jay Art Center <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Recovery Lounge and Upper Jay Art Center will host a reading of an unpublished screenplay about the death of Walt Disney by Lucas Hnath. This black comedy dives into the strange history of the man who created the \u201chappiest place on Earth.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"scaip scaip-5    \">\n\t\t<\/aside>\n<p>The play will be performed by Peter Beuf, Jordan Hornstein, LeAnn Yelton and Christian Eggleston.
