No other information about it, or whether it\u2019s part of a wider project, has surfaced as of yet.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Tape 05\u2019 is an ambient piece of music whose main melody comes from a harp, with subtle shoegazey textures behind it. It\u2019s their first release since their 2013 album \u2018Tomorrow\u2019s Harvest\u2019 and arrives off the back of a drawn-out trail of teasers.<\/p>\n<p>The band have displayed brief signs of activity in the 13 years since that album came out, in the form of random remixes, archival reissues, and an NTS DJ mix.<\/p>\n<div class=\"jeg_video_container jeg_video_content\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tape 05\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6bghDcbzfEU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Another sign of life came when a Boards of Canada fan worked out that a website once used for their clues that had been suffering 404 errors for a prolonged period had been \u2014revived with the following message: \u201cnobody home\u2026\u201d and then a repetition of that phrase in Morse code \u2013 \u201d \/\/\/ -. \u2014 -\u2026 \u2014 -.. -.\u2013 \/ \u2026. \u2014 \u2014 . .-.-.- .-.-.- .-.-.-\u201c.<\/p>\n<p>At the beginning of the month, fans reported across social media and Reddit that they had been receiving VHS tapes bearing Boards of Canada\u2019s hexagon-mesh logo.
