Ye\u2019s (formerly Kanye West<\/a>) upcoming concert in Chorz\u00f3w, Poland, has been canceled<\/a>. A rep for Silesian Stadium, where West was set to perform on June 19, told Wyborcza<\/a><\/em> in a story published Friday (April 17) that \u201cthe concert will not take place.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWe will inform the organizer \u200bin a few hours,\u201d the rep added in a statement. \u201cOur lawyers are preparing a \u200bletter \u2060regarding this matter.\u201d<\/p>\n More from Billboard<\/strong><\/p>\n Reuters<\/a> also reported on the show\u2019s cancellation, citing stadium director Adam Strzyzewski\u2019s statement posted to the venue\u2019s Facebook page<\/a>, which read: \u201cWe would like to inform you that the Ye (Kanye West) concert planned for 19 June 2026 \u200bat the\u2026 Slaski stadium will not take place due to \u200bformal and legal reasons.\u201d<\/p>\n Billboard<\/em> has reached out to West\u2019s rep for comment<\/p>\n The decision to pull the plug on West\u2019s concert in Chorz\u00f3w comes shortly after Ye postponed his June show<\/a> in France amid backlash from the country\u2019s interior minister and the U.K. government\u2019s ruling to deny Yeezy a travel visa, which led to the cancellation of London\u2019s Wireless Fest<\/a>, where he was set to headline, due to Ye\u2019s past antisemitic remarks and hate speech.<\/p>\n Poland\u2019s culture minister, Marta Cienkowska, spoke out against Ye <\/a>potentially having a show in the country on social media on Thursday (April 16), calling the decision \u201cunacceptable.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThe decision to organize a Kanye West concert in Poland is unacceptable,\u201d she wrote in a message posted<\/a> to X on Thursday (April 16). \u201cWe are talking about an artist who has publicly made antisemitic views, downplayed crimes and profited from selling swastika T-shirts. These are not \u2018controversies\u2019. This is a deliberate crossing of boundaries and the normalization of hatred.\u201d<\/p>\n Cienkowska continued: \u201cIn a country scarred by the history of the Holocaust, we cannot pretend this is just entertainment. Artistic freedom does not mean giving a free pass to everything. Culture cannot be a space for those who use it to spread contempt.\u201d<\/p>\n West has yet to release a statement regarding the show cancellation in Poland. According to the Yeezy website,<\/a> he\u2019s still slated to perform in New Delhi, Istanbul, the Netherlands, Italy, Madrid and Portugal later this year.<\/p>\n The polarizing Chicago native is still dealing with the fallout from his actions, which included selling a swastika T-shirt and releasing a song titled \u201cHeil Hitler\u201d in 2025.<\/p>\n Ye issued an\u00a0apology in\u00a0The Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a>\u00a0in January, which saw him address the Jewish and Black communities he had hurt in the past, and West also\u00a0met with a rabbi<\/a>\u00a0in November 2025.<\/p>\n Ye released his Bully<\/em> album<\/a> on March 28, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200<\/a>.
