\n\tCeline Dion<\/a>\u2018s grand comeback continues with the Friday (April 17) release of a beautiful new song titled \u201cDansons\u201d ahead of her Paris residency.<\/p>\n \n\tWritten by Jean-Jacques Goldman, the lush, cinematic track finds the vocalist singing in French \u2014 a return to the \u201crepertoire that shaped the early years of her extraordinary career,\u201d according to the press release. The pair are longtime collaborators, working on Dion\u2019s 1995 album D\u2019eux <\/em>and, most recently, 2016 single \u201cEncore un Soir,\u201d together.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cDansons pour \u00eatre et rest\u0435r droits\/ Parce qu\u2019on se le doit, pour tous les immobiles<\/em>,\u201d Dion sings over gentle strings on \u201cDansons,\u201d sending a message about the importance of continuing to dance even in the face of adversity. \u201cTous les sans-voix, ni loi, parce que c\u2019est inutile\/ Parce que toi et moi, nos visages, nos bras\/ Malgr\u00e9 tout puisqu\u2019on ne peut danser que debout.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tDion also released a music video to accompany the ballad, featuring scenes of a ballerina and dancing couples twirling around Paris.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cDansons\u201d marks the icon\u2019s first proper release since 2019, the year she dropped Billboard 200<\/a>-topping album Courage<\/em>. In the years since, Dion has taken time away from the spotlight while battling Stiff Person Syndrome, a neurological illness that causes severe muscle spasms and has inhibited her ability to perform. But now, she\u2019s returned, launching her comeback in late March with the announcement of her upcoming residency at La D\u00e9fense Arena in Paris. The stint will kick off Sept. 12 and run through Oct. 17.<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI want to let you know that I\u2019m doing great, managing my health, feeling good,\u201d Dion said in a video at the time of her residency announcement.
