THURSDAY<\/h3>\n

Dr. Michael White<\/strong>, one of the most accomplished traditional jazz clarinetists and composers in New Orleans, leads his Original Liberty Jazz Band<\/strong> at Snug Harbor Jazz Bistro at 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $45.<\/p>\n

Harmonica player and accordionist Bruce \u201cSunpie\u201d Barnes<\/strong> fronts his Sunspots<\/strong> at Rock \u2018N\u2019 Bowl; tickets are $15.<\/p>\n

Atlanta rock band Drivin N Cryin<\/strong> made a name for itself with 1989\u2019s \u201cMystery Road\u201d album\u00a0\u2014\u00a0it contained the fan favorites “Honeysuckle Blue” and “Straight To Hell” \u2014 and the 1991 follow-up, \u201cFly Me Courageous.\u201d After many twists and turns, bassist Tim Nielsen<\/strong>, guitarist\/vocalist Kevn Kinney<\/strong> and drummer Dave V. Johnson<\/strong> have just released a new album, \u201cCrushing Flowers,\u201d their first in seven years; R.E.M.\u2019s Peter Buck and the late Todd Snider make guest appearances on the album. In 1990s New Orleans, Tribe Nunzio<\/strong> filled nightclub dancefloors with a rhythmic brand of high-energy tribal funk. Original members Holden Miller, Jeff Treffinger, Vernon Rome<\/strong> and Joe Cabral<\/strong>, joined by Rene Coman<\/strong> on keyboards, Kyle Melancon<\/strong> on drums, Ovi Giron<\/strong>\u00a0on percussion, Alex McMurray<\/strong> on guitar and Alice Redmann<\/strong> on backing vocals, will reunite at the Broadside\u2019s indoor Pavilion on Friday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Her Inquiry Quintet<\/strong> tends toward the more experimental end of her spectrum, with its blend of intricate structures and extensive improvisation. At 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Friday at Snug Harbor, Nealand and the Inquiry Quintet celebrate the release of \u201cSongs My Others Taught Me.” In addition to Nealand on sax, accordion and vocals, the band features Steve Lands<\/strong> on trumpet, Oscar Rossignoli<\/strong> on piano, John Maestas<\/strong> on guitar, Matt Booth<\/strong> on bass and Tanner Gus<\/strong> on drums.
