The song, which was written by Jean-Jacques Goldman and released Friday, is the Quebec singer\u2019s first release in years.<\/p>\n
It comes weeks after she announced a series of concerts to be held in Paris, her return to public performance following her diagnosis of stiff-person syndrome, a neurological disorder that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms.<\/p>\n
The French-language song is a tender and intimate call for connection in the face of instability.<\/p>\n
She urges the listener to \u201cdance to be and stay upstanding, because we owe it to ourselves for all those who are immobile, because it\u2019s useless, because it\u2019s you and me.\u201d<\/p>\n
The song dropped along with a music video, which is directed by Max Allouche. <\/p>\n
Dion is not featured in the video, which includes couples slow dancing in the streets \u2014 and in one case, on a roof \u2014 in Paris.<\/p>\n
That\u2019s where Dion will hold her series of concerts. She initially announced six shows, but due to popular demand increased the number to 16.<\/p>\n
They\u2019re scheduled for between Sept. 12 and Oct. 17.<\/p>\n
