Maren Morris<\/a> is opening up about her first experience dating a woman.<\/p>\n Morris, 36, came out as bisexual in 2024, a year after her divorce from ex-husband Ryan Hurd. In a new TikTok<\/a> video shared on Wednesday, April 15, “The Bones” singer responded to a person’s comment about her “bisexual journey,” which she described as “pretty short.”<\/p>\n The country singer explained that she was “briefly” seeing a woman who she told she was “not looking for anything serious,” noting that she was “at a point in my life right now where just I don\u2019t have that to give.”<\/p>\n When the woman agreed to keep it casual, Morris continued seeing her, but added that “it was clear the woman was looking for different things.<\/p>\n “And y\u2019all I\u2019m not kidding, within three weeks of this completely falling apart, it was lies, threats to my reputation, and borderline extortion,” Morris said in the video. “It was pretty f—-d up.”<\/p>\n “And for that to be my first experience, is just so depressing, and I was just like, I think I\u2019m just really cool being alone,” Morris reflected.<\/p>\n She then explained that she spoke to her lesbian friends about the relationship, which she says they described as “very normal.”<\/p>\n “When you start seeing women, and one is going to like, almost ruin your life, like we\u2019ve all been there,” Morris said of her friends’ advice. “You just have to like, push through. The former couple (who\u00a0share son Hayes<\/a>, 6)\u00a0finalized the divorce<\/a>\u00a0three months later in January 2024.<\/p>\n Morris has long been an outspoken advocate for the LBGTQ+ community.
