The late Queen Elizabeth II<\/a> gave a sweet response to a comment about Princess Charlotte<\/a>. According to Hugo Vickers’ new biography, Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History, the late Queen reacted in a sweet way when she was told that Charlotte was “very much like her”.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n The author wrote that the comment was made by Nicola Sturgeon, the then-first minister of Scotland, in 2019.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He wrote: “[Nicola] Sturgeon made the perceptive remark that Princess Charlotte was very like the Queen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n “She lit up with a beaming smile, clearly thrilled that the resemblance had been noted.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n At the time the comment was made, Charlotte, who was born in May 2015, was just four years old.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Mr Vickers also noted that, despite not being a monarchist, Nicola was very fond of the late Queen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n He wrote that she said: “The private time I spent with the Queen ranks as one of the great privileges of my life. It was clear from my first meeting that she was an extraordinary woman.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The late Queen reportedly wanted to invite all of her great-grandchildren to spend time with her at Balmoral during the summer of 2022 – just weeks before her death.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n In the 2026 biography, Elizabeth II: In Private.
