Nick Offerman<\/a> on Tuesday didn\u2019t seem so jubilant about President Donald Trump<\/a> being the party-planner-in-chief for America\u2019s 250th anniversary.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cHang on, perhaps I am rushing to judgment,\u201d chirped the \u201cParks and Recreation<\/a>\u201d star in a segment on \u201cThe Daily Show<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWe can only hope Trump puts as much love into America\u2019s birthday as he would for Jeffrey Epstein<\/a>\u2019s.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The show flashed to an image of Trump\u2019s alleged lewd birthday card<\/a> to the late convicted sex offender, a card he\u2019s denied writing. (The president\u2019s $10 billion defamation lawsuit against The Wall Street Journal, which published<\/a> a picture of the 2003 card last year, was dismissed<\/a> by a federal judge on Monday.)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cI abhor the message, but I do appreciate a handwritten card,\u201d Offerman quipped. \u201cAny asshole can go to Hallmark, but calligraphy shows you care.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Offerman, a known Trump critic<\/a> who has declared that his beloved Ron Swanson character would\u2019ve \u201cdespised\u201d the president<\/a>, cracked that Trump doesn\u2019t \u201chave anything else going on\u201d before the celebrations around the Fourth of July.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cGas prices are hovering just below \u2018Fury Road\u2019 levels, but have fun picking out the balloons,\u201d he joked.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n The actor and comedian later wondered about how Trump is showing the ways \u201che cares about America\u201d before tossing to a news clip discussing the Treasury Department\u2019s plan to print bills with the president\u2019s signature<\/a> on it to mark the big birthday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cSigning the dollar bills? But Mr. President, how can you sign them all? For that you would need \u2014 an autopen,\u201d teased Offerman of Trump, who has frequently shamed his predecessor Joe Biden<\/a> over his use of autopen<\/a> despite his own (and other past presidents) using the device over the years.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Offerman later weighed in on plans for the U.S. Mint to produce a 24-karat gold coin with Trump<\/a> on it.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n \u201cWow, a coin with Donald Trump\u2019s face.
