Prince Harry has tried to break Prince William\u2019s \u201cwall of silence,\u201d but the no-nonsense future king, who has a \u201cruthless side,\u201d has a long memory for loyalty, and an even longer one for betrayal.<\/p>\n
The claim was made by multiple royal experts who spoke to Fox News Digital, who claimed that \u201cthe firewall is firmly held\u201d against the Duke of Sussex, who has reportedly not spoken to his brother since Queen Elizabeth II\u2019s funeral in 2022.<\/p>\n
The Prince of Wales is \u201cignoring the circus\u201d and is \u201cdone with drama,\u201d British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s setting his agenda for the future of the monarchy. There\u2019s a difference between being ruthless and holding people accountable. And then you have the issue of these two very different paths they were set on. William was very much led into the path of, \u2018You are going to be king. This is your destiny.\u2019 And Harry was left to fend for himself, really. And I think that caused a lot of issues in their adolescence and into adulthood.\u201d<\/p>\n But the brothers\u2019 feud may have begun well before\u00a0Harry\u2019s exit from the U.K.<\/a><\/p>\n When Harry, 41, began dating Meghan, 44, in 2016, the relationship progressed quickly, with the American actress meeting senior royals early on. Experts say that\u2019s when their relationship turned frosty.<\/p>\n In his book, Myers claimed that William would get riled up about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex\u2019s dramatic exit from royal life and the tell-alls that came with it. William\u2019s wife, Kate Middleton<\/a>, had \u201cless interest in convincing Harry to stay, he claimed.<\/p>\n Fox News Digital reached out to Kensington Palace for comment. A spokesperson for Buckingham Palace previously told Fox News Digital, \u201cWe don\u2019t comment on such books.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cUnfortunately for both Harry and Princess Catherine, I think the fractiousness of the relationship was always going to happen because Harry and Meghan chose the path that they did,\u201d Myers explained. \u201cThey wanted to leave immediately. They saw that the institution would probably try to stop them from leaving.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think a real line was crossed,\u201d Myers continued. \u201cThe people that I\u2019d spoken to for the book say that both William and Catherine were left deeply hurt by Harry and Meghan\u2019s state of play and the way they went about leaving the family.\u201d<\/p>\n Following Harry and Meghan\u2019s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey<\/a> in 2021, which was viewed by nearly 50 million people globally, Buckingham Palace issued a statement on behalf of Queen Elizabeth that read, \u201cRecollections may vary.\u201d Myers claimed Kate, 44, was \u201cabsolutely integral\u201d to that message.<\/p>\n \u201cCatherine did not want the brothers to finish their relationship,\u201d Myers explained. \u201cShe was always trying to bring them together, always trying to be that mediator for William when they\u2019re very hot, two hotheaded young men, falling out.
