An article written by Ruby Rose<\/span><\/a><\/strong> has resurfaced and sheds some light on one of her nights out with Katy Perry<\/span><\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI spectacularly lost dignity (and keys) one night not too long ago. Remember when Katy Perry and I crashed the year 12 formal? I don\u2019t,\u201d Rose, 40, wrote in a 2011 essay for news.com.au<\/span><\/a>. \u201cI had been off the grog for 30 days \u2014 my first attempt at sobriety \u2014 and I was out partying with Katy. What I do remember thinking was: \u2018I\u2019ll have a drink tonight, I deserve one. I mean, what\u2019s the worst that could happen?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

According to Rose, she didn\u2019t stop at one drink \u201cor 10.\u201d Before the end of the night, the actress wrote she was \u201cvomiting on Katy\u2019s foot.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat was worse was I don\u2019t normally spew (I don\u2019t know why, I just don\u2019t), so clearly the universe wanted to punish me,\u201d she wrote. \u201cNOOOOOOTHING is good about a hangover. That annoying song by Akon<\/strong>, [\u2018Trouble\u2019] \u2014 I love that I can imagine my life without ever having to wake up feeling like that again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rose has been open about her sobriety journey over the years. In her essay, the Orange Is the New Black<\/i><\/span><\/a> actress explained what propelled her to make a change in her drinking habits.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe short answer: I threw up on Katy Perry. And that\u2019s one of the reasons I\u2019ve been off the grog now for almost 90 days,\u201d she wrote at the time. \u201cBefore you jump to conclusions, nothing horrific happened, nor have I been hit with a DUI \u2014 but I just had enough, and it has been one of the best decisions of my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The essay comes days after Rose accused Perry, 41, of sexual assault. In a series of Threads posts, the actress alleged that Perry \u201cassaulted\u201d her during a night out in Melbourne, Australia, nearly 20 years ago.<\/p>\n
