Eric Roberts <\/b><\/a>shut down any rumblings of a family feud<\/span><\/a> with his sister Julia Roberts<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t know that,\u201d Eric, 69, said on the Tuesday, April 14, episode of the \u201cIt Happened in Hollywood\u201d podcast<\/span><\/a> when asked about a potential falling out. \u201cIt\u2019s not true, [and] it never was true, really. We\u2019re fine. We have disagreements as people do, but we like and respect each other very much.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric further gushed that Julia, 58, is a \u201cwonderful actress\u201d and a \u201cwonderful human.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she\u2019s even a wonderful mother, that\u2019s the hardest job there is,\u201d Eric said, referring to Julia\u2019s three children with husband Danny Moder<\/b>. \u201cShe\u2019s a cool chick and I like her. We don\u2019t talk about each other in the press much because it\u2019s always a contest brought on by the press. We\u2019re not in a contest. We\u2019ll never be up for the same parts.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Julia Roberts and her older brother, Eric Roberts, have a typical sibling bond now, that wasn\u2019t always the case. \u201cJulia and I have always been fine,\u201d Eric revealed during a June 2022 appearance on the\u00a0\u201cBehind The Velvet Rope With David Yontef\u201d podcast. \u201cI think years and years ago, I was doing [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Eric is Julia\u2019s older brother, and even they aren\u2019t immune to sibling squabbles. (Eric and Julia have another sister, Lisa Roberts Gillan<\/b>, who is also an actress. Their half-sister, Nancy Motes<\/b>, died in 2014<\/span><\/a>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only issues that we have are, like, day-to-day disagreements on whatever, but it\u2019s not a thing,\u201d Eric stressed on Tuesday. \u201cI like my sister very much. I\u2019m impressed by her wonderful career, and she\u2019s got three kids. She\u2019s a mom, dude.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Julia has seldom discussed her sibling relationship, Eric previously raised eyebrows in 2018 when he claimed that his career helped both Julia and his daughter, Emma Roberts<\/b>, find success in Hollywood. (Eric shares Emma, 35, with ex Kelly Cunningham<\/b>.)<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it wasn\u2019t for me, there would be no Julia Roberts and no Emma Roberts as celebrities, as actresses, and I\u2019m very proud of that,\u201d Eric told Vanity Fair <\/i>in a 2018 profile. \u201cWhen Julia first came to New York, I went into William Morris [talent agency] and I said, \u2018Which one of you is going to sign my sister Julia?\u2019 And I am so proud that everybody knows I was first because I was first by a long shot. I was first to get Golden Globe and Academy Award nominations, so I\u2019m proud of that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric, who noted that he was \u201ccrazy about\u201d his sisters, has since walked back his comments<\/a>.<\/p>\n
